A Brave New World Chapter 1 Summary

A Brave New World, by Aldous Huxley
Chapter 1 Summary

In Chapter one, we are shown, that this is taking place in a thirty-four story building called the Central  London Hatchery and Conditioning Centre, along with its motto: Community, Identity, Stability. We are then introduced to the Director of Hatcheries and Conditioning, he takes his students on a tour of the departments and explains his latest discoveries. His latest project is the "Bokanovsky's Process." This process is when taking one egg, one embryo, one adult. He has come up with a way to take those and make them divide into ninety-six identical human beings. We are introduce to another man named, Mr. Foster, a very well informed individual, who explains to the students in great detail, his plans of exceeding the number of batches of identicals that Singapore has produced.
It seems as though, thus far, that the Director and Mr. Foster both want a perfect human species, not sure why yet, but I'm sure we'll find out soon.
